Tariq Hilaly

Tariq Hilaly has over a decade of investing and financial services experience. Before co-founding Motif Investing, Tariq served as a Vice President at Alliance Bernstein's $1B hedge fund, where he maintained a stellar track record investing in technology, healthcare, and financial services companies. Prior to Alliance Bernstein, Tariq served as Senior Director of Corporate Development at BEA Systems where he managed their M&a;A activities, equity investments, and business development efforts. He has also held positions at other noteworthy companies such as Link Exchange (acquired by Microsoft), Alter Ego Networks (acquired by Macromedia), and the Boston Consulting Group. Tariq earned a BS in Finance from the University of Missouri and an MBA from the Harvard School of Business. He holds the Series 7, 24 and 63 licenses. He is a passionate professional and personal investor and especially loves investing in emerging technology companies.
