I have been working for a short term insurance broker since 1 October 2015. I am a Administrative assistant(Personal lines). My duties/responsibilities include but are not limited to : Obtain quotes for clients Delete and add items from clients policy schedules at clients requests Compare schedules to renewal schedules, if I am happy with the renewal schedule I send it to the insured , if not I send it to the retentions /underwriting department for review, discount etc. Check clients policy schedules to make sure that everything is correct Amendments and maintenance of clients details Liaison with Insurance companies Liaison with clients Obtaining commission statements on a monthly basis from various insurance companies. Review insurance policy to determine coverage Receive claims form from insured review them for completeness. Attach information on claim form. Transmit claims for payment or further investigation. Contact insured or other involved persons to obtain missing info. Obtain information from insured or designated persons for purpose of settling claim with insurance company. Follow up with Panel Beaters on the progress of clients vehicles Follow up with the insurance company’s regarding the payment of clients.
