My key admin responsibilities while working in the admin office for the flagship Topshop store included, arranging interview dates, sending faxes and emails, answering enquires over the phone, face to face or via email, handling paper work, keeping up to date on the latest figures and emailing payroll on new recruits. Before I worked my way to work in the admin office, I worked on the shop floor as a team leader. This enabled me to provide a high quality of customers service to the customers face to face, whether they wanted directions within the store, enquired about an items or wanted to make a complaint which I would deal with effectively and efficiently. As a team leader it is also very important that you are able to work within a team and build a good working relationship within the team. This allowed me to do just that as during my time as a team leader I made sure that I had a good working relationship with the team to ensure that we work together effectively in order to achieve our targets. For example we failed our mystery shopper score, therefore I organised a team meeting to discuss what we need to maintain but also what we need to do improve to ensure that we do not fail again and to make sure k.p.i’s are met. I worked at kings for my work experience where I gained knowledge of the policies, procedures and data quality. I had access to PIMS and EPR which stores all patient information. My IT skills and knowledge include effectively using the full Microsoft Office package including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Publisher. I also believe that Communication and a good work chemistry within a team is essential because without these two main factors a team could fall apart. This would cause issues such as, unhappy employees, targets not being met and also poor customer service. On the other hand when work chemistry and a high level of communication within the team is being put in to action, good results are produced. For example, when I was a team leader at Top Shop, many challenging situations occurred which would have been impossible to conquer without communicating. There would be days when the store would be busy and a staff member may need support so they would communicate within the team for assistance.
