When I started my first industrial construction job (BASF Geismar and Marathon Garyville) the summer before my freshman year of college, I knew I wanted to work in the oil & gas / petrochemical industries. Since then, I have enjoyed opportunities to gain experience in a variety of different roles, locations, and facilities throughout the upstream, midstream, and downstream markets. I gained insight into operations, process engineering, and the midstream oil & gas industry as a Chemical Engineering Intern with Energy Transfer. I learned about upstream oil & gas, production chemistry and subsea/deepwater production as a Field Engineer with Baker Hughes Upstream Chemicals. Through completion of the Baker Hughes LEAD (Learn, Excel, Achieve, Develop) program, I received a strong technical knowledge base, solid technical sales skills, and great leadership training. As an Account Manager in Nalco Champion's downstream group, I gained technical knowledge of refinery operations and sales experience in a refinery setting. When I was made site lead at a large gulf coast refinery, I also learned to manage a sales/service team. In my current sales role with nVent Thermal, I am developing and managing relationships with multiple industrial customers across South Louisiana. I love problem solving, projects, and expanding my technical expertise. At this point in my career, I do not feel there is a field or skill I can't grasp. I also truly enjoy technical sales. The relationships we build with our customers, regardless of industry, are one of the most rewarding aspects of the job. I have been responsible for customers including BP (deepwater GoM), Shell (deepwater GoM), and Valero Energy (downstream) with account values as high as $15MM+ annually. I always look forward to a challenge and I can't wait to see where things go from here!
