Taylor Dorn

I am passionate about improving social welfare issues, and aspire to work for a company that influences social and public policy to create effective, sustainable change. I have both theoretical knowledge of and practical experience with international policy analysis, implementation, and evaluation from my MSc International Social and Public Policy degree. In addition, I have extensive project management experience in international development both at the grassroots level with the Peace Corps and from the US with John Snow Inc., Research and Training Institute. My experience as a publicist for the Smithsonian Institution complements this skill set, enabling me to effectively communicate with stakeholders and colleagues from various backgrounds and cultures. Building positive professional relationships with co-workers is very important to me, as well as identifying with the “why” of the organization that I work for. I thrive working in a fast-paced environment, as it enables me to utilize my multi-tasking and creative problem-solving skills. I value loyalty, and want to work for a company that encourages me to plant my roots and grow with them.
