Teresa Goodin

I have embarked on a new journey as the coordinator of the Early College Scholar Degree Program for Albemarle County Public Schools. In addition to this new role, I am continuing to work students to assist them in identifying and developing their unique talents. I work to ensure that Monticello High School's student population is receiving appropriately challenging and engaging instruction and extra curricular activities, as well as college and post-high school advising. In addition to my work at Monticello High School, I have developed curriculum for historical sites such as Thomas Jefferson's Monticello and the American Battle Monuments Commission at the Meuse-Argonne Cemetery in France. I have presented at conferences and professional development workshops across the county. My research and professional development interests include trauma informed teaching, social-emotional learning, and differentiated instruction. My academic and instructional interests include American History, Problem Based Learning, authentic curriculum, and inquiry based history.
