Teresa Navarro

Back in 2015, I was studying to go into an English major with an emphasis in communications. It felt appropriate as I was interested in the major and thought it was a good path to take. It was not until I felt inspired to review my career interests by retaking a survey I was exposed to as a high school student. Suddenly everything became so much clearer and opportune. What turned out to be my interests and passions has brought me to the encouraging decision to be part of Human Resources. I am dazzled by talent, abilities and unique skill sets. It delights me to witness what others can do and how that can be implemented and benefited into the organization. Participating in the Borgen Project as an HR intern, I appreciated the opportunity to post on university's websites the internship possibilities. I am constantly connecting employees and customers together, enhancing inter department communication and identifying problems and issues to find successful resolutions between customers. Currently now I am working for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I have found value and great appreciation for the purpose and goal that every employee has for the work of the gospel. I am encouraged and willing to learn new skills everyday, seeking potential growth and using my talents and abilities to my best extent for the Church.
