I have been working in IT since my very first job, and I really enjoy it. I've been fortunate to work in a number of different sectors, such as finance, consultancy, legal and retail, and it's always interesting to see how IT is applied, in the same but also in different ways, across the various environments. I maintain my passion for IT by embracing new technologies and practices. There's nothing I like more than picking up and running with a new technology and learning all its quirks and quibbles. My roles have always been team based but I am also a self starter and can work on my own goals and objectives, and within proscribed deadlines and budgets. Those roles have included: - recommending technology solutions to meet business needs - designing solutions, providing HLD and LLD’s and liaising with IT stakeholders through the approvals process - ownership of solution provisioning through the planning and implementation stages, including traditional project planning and milestone management
