Terry Little

I am currently preparing for a transition from being Active Duty in the US Army where I work as a Senior Digital Forensic Examiner (DFE) with the US Army Criminal Investigation Division (CID). I have 10 years of experience working as a DFE with CID. During this time, I have worked in multiple labs, to include locations where I was the sole subject matter expert. My primary responsibilities have been to receive digital evidence for analysis and to generate a report detailing my findings. I have experience analyzing desktops, laptops, mobile devices, game systems, external storage devices, and a variety of other devices capable of connecting to a network. In addition to conducing the analysis of digital evidence, I provide guidance to other criminal investigators on all matters pertaining to digital evidence. This includes advising during crime scene processing so potential evidence can be preserved and identifying electronic service providers who may have relevant data. Before becoming a DFE, I worked as a criminal investigator with CID. As an investigator, I was responsible for conducting interviews of subject, victims, and witnesses; processing crime scenes; and preparing reports detailing all aspects of the investigation. I have a MS in Computer Forensics from George Mason University and a BS in Legal Studies from American Military University. I have also completed over 1,200 hours of training in computer forensic topics from various sources, including Cellebrite, Magnet, Opentext, and SANS.
