As a global healthcare and biotech executive, I bring a unique mix of commercial and scientific expertise with more than 20 years of experience developing cutting edge, patient-first solutions to position startups and businesses for initial success and future growth. As a pharmacist, my clinical background provides insight and rigor when interacting with scientists, key thought leaders, the executive staff, and the board of directors. Many of my roles have been operating in a scrappy way to start up new internal businesses, outside or joint ventures, turn-around underperforming businesses, or launch new-to-market products that consistently lead to double-digit YOY revenue. A few examples: 🔹 Stand-alone new venture: Created new LLC start-up business, gained funding, and identified US healthcare partner for the creation of an innovative joint venture to address hospital drug shortages 🔹 P&L responsibility: Delivered 8-11% YOY annual revenue growth of rare disease, orphan drug with annual sales that exceeded $500M. 🔹 Commercial leadership: Evaluated numerous investment opportunities and served as the Commercial lead for joint venture establishing market development and strategic pre-launch plans with external partner for orphan drug. 🔹 Supply chain & operations leadership: Patient centric results by turning around underperforming exclusive specialty pharmacy and improved first-dose ship rates in 45 days; Converted patients to new formulation 25% faster than goal. With the heart of an entrepreneur, the novel initiatives I’ve created and led have served as transformational growth engines and given me opportunities to evaluate risks and rewards, and develop corporate ventures from the ground up that have led to multiple individual and team corporate awards for exceptional performance. As an advocate for professional development and career growth, I initiated and launched Grifols’ first corporate ERG that supports women in leadership and the inception of a marketing excellence program. I love developing talented people and take pride in providing opportunities to maximize their potential, build successful careers, and deliver actionable results. It is hard to sum up what I do into one traditional job title. If I were to write my own job description, it would be a Commercial leadership role with decision-making responsibility for the development of new, mission-critical strategies from concept to creation by combining my clinical background and marketing expertise in a results-driven, entrepreneurial environment.
