Teyu Kung

My name is Teyu Kung, with the family name “Kung”, I was born in a historical family, which provide me great education especially on literature and humanities. As a result, I studied Philosophy and History in University and practically transfer these studies into skills of communication, teamwork, and considerate leadership style. I started fundraising work since 2012 in Greenpeace Direct Dialogue Team. From that point on, I keep gathering knowledge and tactics about fundraising. And luckily, I got chance to enter Supporter Services Team and was promoted several times. With the job rotation, I quickly grasp the important skills, strategies, and best practice of supporter retention and development. What I believe is: as we need to take care of donors with diverse angles, the one who taking care of donors need to embrace diverse abilities as well. In the past few years, I also participant in lots of different projects; sometimes as a supporter, and sometimes as a leader. In 2015, I got an urgent task of holding an open boat event in one week. And in 2016, when my team faced a huge administration error, I was leading the rapid response and minimized complaints from donors. Another project which is worth to mention is in 2017. I purposed a one-year project to campaign schools take a challenge of the plastic-free fair. It’s not only a very successful project that engaged hundreds of schools but also the first time in Greenpeace TP office that a fundraiser leads a project.
