The Primal Doctor

I am a Doctor (Anesthesiologist) in the UK with 15 years experience.I am also a Functional and evolutionary medicine Doctor (studied with the Kresser Institute), I am a certified Paleo nutritionist and a heart rate variability coach. In some ways, current medicine can be seen as managing the symptoms of disease whilst not focusing on the causes or prevention as much as it should. In my opinion, as a medical profession, we could be better at working on disease prevention or reversibility.I passionately believe that treating symptoms by concentrating on the root cause of the problem and aiming to prevent disease occurring in the first instance, people will achieve better outcomes and stay healthier for longer. The aim is to treat the person and not the disease, with a highly customised treatment plan of dietary and lifestyle changes. I believe that Functional Medicine, in association with aspects of conventional medicine, is the future and that it is the best way to restore the balance in favour of the patient. After all, the patients were the reason why I got into medicine in the first place.
