Thomas Coonan

Upon leaving school I enrolled in the Australian Army at age 17 where I spent 5 years learning life long skills. During this time I was promoted to a role of Corporal and was tasked with managing a section of men. After 5 years I left the Army and embarked on a career in the Oil and Gas field with Saxon whilst starting to study a Bachelor of Construction. Working a FIFO roster was an eye opening experience with family growth being the reason behind leaving the field. Starting again I gained employment with ITS Pipetech where I was quickly thrust into the role of a Leading Hand. This experience has helped with my studies and the knowledge gained has assisted myself to continue to pursue higher responsibilities. I look to finish my studies in the coming years and continue to climb the corporate ladder the field of Construction.
