Tom Hanlon, PMP

I retired from the US Army after 20 years of service. My leadership skills were honed from a foundation of 11 years in the US Army Infantry and Special Operations with combat tours in Iraq and Afghanistan and operational tours in Egypt, Kosovo, and Djibouti. I retired at the end of 2017 as a Foreign Area Officer where I specialized in Sub-Saharan Africa. In that capacity, I gained invaluable strategic experience, research skills, French language ability, and well-developed interpersonal relationship-building skills between various cultures as well as the US Inter-agency environment. Since my completion of military service, I've worked on the corporate staff of Circinus, LLC, a small business defense contractor providing Intelligence services and support. While at Circinus, I successfully performed the functions of Project Manager and Director, Program Management. After 2 years at Circinus, I transitioned to Persistent Systems, LLC, a small and growing business headquartered in Manhattan that provides proprietary and cutting edge technology to aid warfighters and other field operators to better communicate in real-time with real-time large data requirements using Mobile Ad hoc Networks (MANET). Persistent is moving legacy field communication beyond radios and central hub infrastructure. I enjoy working for a small company for the flexibility, professional development opportunities, and growth potential. It affords me the opportunity for more exposure to all critical areas of the business: finance, quality, capture and business development, proposals, contracts, and industrial security.
