About
Do you lead your LinkedIn summary with the personal, or the professional? For me, the two have always been closely intertwined. I'm missionally- and relationally-oriented, and I've always gravitated to roles and organisations that I believe in and that I believe can help people and communities flourish. Adding meaningful, holistic value is what gets me up in the morning. Most recently I've applied this passion in the context of medical technology, working to enable and empower healthcare educators to make their training sustainable and accessible to healthcare professionals globally, removing barriers like cost, geography, and personal circumstance from standing in the way of training the 18 million additional healthcare professionals we need by 2030. Having an insatiable curiosity about the world and a Swiss Army knife skillset, I've had roles teaching in economically disadvantaged schools, traveling the world (56 countries and 49 states--still coming for you, Rhode Island!), researching, fundraising, and even living and working in a university dorm. The throughline of all these experiences is the challenge and opportunity to excel in an ambiguous environment, to apply my knowledge to solve complex problems, and to continually be stretched to grow in the midst of new and dynamic domains. Nothing excites me more than to see a need and to recognise that I'm in a position to fill it. If I can do that while acquiring new knowledge or skillsets along the way, all the better! I'm Canadian by birth, American by naturalisation, and British by marriage, which has given me the ability to help international teams communicate and maximise their collaborative output (though it also makes me feel conflicted every time the Olympics rolls around!). If you would like to explore how I could help your team develop a sustainable and accessible approach to your healthcare education, please reach out, I would love to connect!
