Thomas Knezevic

A commercially oriented operations functional manager with extensive experience in operations within the plastics manufacturing, packaging and telecommunications industries. This follows an extensive career in operations management roles predominantly in the technical engineering and maintenance space. My recent commercial role has developed key marketing and business communications skills that are vital for identifying, approaching and growing business opportunities. As a Commercial manager my focus was to establish and grow business opportunities specific to a new product range offering. I successfully developed marketing plans to approach and influence sales opportunities nationally identifying unique business opportunities. As a Maintenance Manager within Corning I achieved regional recognition for the global deployment of my Total Productive Maintenance systems developed and perfected within the local business. This was, as a result of key business studies undertaken at the time that complimented my technical side with new leadership, strategic and change management knowledge to help “remove the blinkers” and develop a more balanced business approach to system’s rollout that was ultimately culture defining. My expertise is not only limited to engineering and maintenance management but encompasses all levels of Operations management having worked closely with all key functional managers. My leadership style in particular has been a key feature where I value the ongoing development of team members and in achieving objectives with their involvement. My unique strengths encompass the ability to connect with team members helping to develop strong working relationships based on trust that allows them to grow and perform. Coaching and mentoring is a key feature of my leadership style. I possess an innate ability to identify and go after opportunities which compliments my continuous improvement experience base.
