My experience in elementary school includes five years in kindergarten, six years in second grade and seven years in third grade and 4 years in 5th grade.. For 22 years, I've provided excellent classroom management, creative lesson plans, detailed student evaluations and highly praised instructional delivery. As an enthusiastic volunteer, I’ve worked on our school’s, Leadership Team, and our “Consultation Committee”. I've also worked on our staff’s “Sunshine Committee” to coordinate gifts for teachers and staff members in good times and hardships. In recent years I’ve also made it a point to teach my students the value of giving. Back in 2013 one of my students was unfortunately diagnosed with cancer. I organized a walk to help her and her family. We gladly raised over 2,000 dollars to help in finding a cure. This year we had a bake sale and we raised just over two hundred dollars for cancer research. We donated the money to the research center at the Sloan-Kettering Pediatric Center. These activities also made our school community aware of the effects of cancer. My students also donated toys to the 1st Way Life Center, where my parents volunteer, to give to kids’ whose parents don’t have the finances to provide toys for their own children. I'm very passionate about teaching and helping students mature and develop into leaders.
