Qualified HR professional, with 11 years’ experience working at strategic level, directly for the NHS or providing workforce solution to the NHS. I have been working as the Deputy Director of Workforce and Organisational Development for East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust since October 2017. In this time, I have proven to be a highly capable leader, driving workforce strategy and change during a transformational period in the organisation and influencing at board level. My introduction to the NHS was in 2004 working for NHS Professionals, an NHS organisation providing flexible workforce solutions to NHS. In the 11 years’ I worked for NHS Professionals I covered a range of operational and strategic workforce roles. I progressed to the position of Regional Lead, where I was responsible for the client management of 15 NHS organisations across London, Essex and Hertfordshire. In this time, I managed the merger of temporary staffing services for Barts Health, winning of new business (Colchester Hospital) and large scale implementation and TUPE (Croydon Health). I moved to East and North Hertfordshire in 2015 to develop myself as an all-round HR professional and to gain an in-depth knowledge of how the NHS operates which could only be done from within an NHS Trust. I led in areas of flexible staffing, recruitment and information and planning. In this time, I conducted the agency consortium, which then generated the first regional bank nationally, saving millions in temporary staffing expenditure.
