About

I am an experienced nonprofit professional who is passionate about supporting education organizations and working to expand learning opportunities/experiences for students of color in the PK-12 pipeline. The majority of my career has been spent working in early childhood education, helping charter school leaders and educators make informed, data-based decisions to support student achievement initiatives. I analyze student performance data (ie. Assessments, attendance, etc) and translate those quantitative findings into actionable insights. I am known for my customer-oriented approach to implementing systems and developing tools and processes that best support the success of educators, that work everyday to make a difference in our students lives. I haven't always worked in the social sector but I have always been committed to public service in some way. My career began in consulting, where I worked with pubic sector clients on business process transformation initiatives. These initiatives were focused on optimizing processes, using enterprise resource planning platforms. This work sparked my interest in managing organizational change, project management and streamlining business processes for increased impact and effectiveness. I transitioned to the education space via a fellowship program with an organization committed to supporting promising leaders in the social sector, ProInspire. As my career has progressed, my work has remained focused on driving internal changes that support the mission and vision of my organization. While working full-time, I continued to build my professional toolkit by receiving my Masters of Public Administration from the GWU Trachtenberg School of Public Administration and Public Policy. One of my proudest personal accomplishments is making a family move out west from the DC Area, first to Arizona and now Los Angeles, which taught me lifelong lessons about resilience and managing change. More recently, I've embarked on a health and wellness journey which led to newfound adventures in spinning, pilates and hiking. As I continue to build sustainable, healthy habits I look forward to exploring new ways to be active and have fun at the same time. Innovation in the education space is truly inspirational. Educators and companies in EdTech continue to develop solutions that fuel the next wave of global changemakers. I'm excited to see what's next. I look forward to connecting with you!
