I am now heavily involved in two businesses, each with significant opportunity in their respective markets.SwitchWaterSupplier.com is a unique business, launching the UK's first water retail tendering and switching platform following deregulation of the English non-domestic water market in 2017. The switching platform will further provide the type of innovation so sought by Ofwat and MOSL to address current UK market challenges in England and Scotland and has been made possible by the collaboration with my business partner's expertise in the water retail market and by my existing skills and experience in the field of technology, custom software development and business management. I'm also in the process of taking Contedia, my original business, to its next level of planned growth through the further development and marketing of its technical web development, web-based application and custom (business process) application development services.Of particular noteworthiness to the accelerated growth Contedia is experiencing, is the popularity in business now of seeking custom web-based applications and custom apps to meet and manage the challenges of running a modern business with data at its heart. Many businesses are embracing the need to increase efficiencies in their working methodologies and business processes in order to improve customer satisfaction and profitability. Contedia's work in this sector is transforming businesses, removing disparate databases, spreadsheets and paper-based processes and replacing them with either a process-specific or end-to-end business solution which captures and controls the data flow and increases visibility throughout the organisation. Workflows are being improved, efficiencies gained, data is being made more accurate and controlled, and 'value'​ is being added to our clients' businesses by encapsulating operating knowledge and processes, making key operations more autonomous, and as a result, the business more saleable.My work is in the strategic development of the two businesses, developing internal operations, our route to market and, where SwitchWaterSupplier.com is concerned, managing the programme of software and systems development for the switching platform, ensuring it aligns to the needs of our different user types.
