Tim J Morris

I have been a broadcaster since I was 17, working for a number of companies including the BBC and ITV. My experience spans over 30 years of live / recorded programme production, encompassing work in newsgathering, factual entertainment, drama, comedy and corporate projects. My qualifications include an MA (with distinction) in Media Production and an NCTJ in Media Law. I am a serving officer with the Royal Air Force and split my time between my civilian / service roles. In uniform I am a busy member of RAF Media Operations, running news teams around the world, handling PR and producing content for social media / distribution to international news outlets. I report on the biggest news stories in defence and have the honour of working with some of the bravest people in the world. I am proud to serve my country and play my small part. During my broadcast career I have worked as a news Reporter / Video Journalist, a motoring journalist, a travel writer, a scriptwriter and a television producer / presenter. I have handled all manner of production elements, including voice overs, research, scheduling, budgeting and preparing programme briefs. I've directed live mixed shoots in the gallery and presented live / canned television broadcasts on a range of topics. In a managerial capacity I have operated as a broadcast consultant, securing OfCom licenses for new services and negotiating capacity / playout contracts. Since 2010 I have produced a number of 3D television programmes. These have included '3 Drives' (3D) for Motors TV and The Spy Guide' travel challenge. Recently I have been involved in the production of 360 degree interactive experiences for delivery on-line. I also continue to write regular car tests for a range of publications and I remain a free-lance news reporter. For many years I have been actively using social media as a major part of my broadcast work to drive topics forward. I have produced a range of extended reports for on-line delivery, often in multiple languages. A large percentage of my current work is designed exclusively for on-line delivery and I am always looking to adapt to changing audience demands. I enjoy my work immensely. It brings me into contact with some of the most incredible people in the world and places me in extraordinary situations. From meeting and interviewing celebrities, to coming under fire in areas of conflict, my life has never been dull!
