I’m a motivated self-starter who loves collaborating with people. I’ve been lucky enough to work with some outstanding people in a vast range of industries. As a generalist, I’ve loved sitting in or facilitating Strategy sessions with specialists in their fields. Leadership, Strategy and Networking make me feel alive and I’ve been fortunate to build a career around this. My focus has largely been on sales, marketing and operations, however, I’ve been able to manage projects in IT (Salesforce consulting, implementation and administration), Creative Design (bringing together teams of professional graphic designers, web developers, copywriters), Construction (working with builders, architects, sub-trades and contractors to see projects through) and Finance (meeting with potential investors, venture capital partners). Within my Sales & Marketing roles, I have also built up a good understanding of Adobe Illustrator and InDesign having used them for hundreds of quote proposals. While I started my career in big business, I’ve spent 15 years in Small Business and have spent time working with the challenges of a Pre-Seed Startup (both after-hours and full-time). I’ve experienced the successes of growing a business to having (and retaining) an 80%+ market share and the learning opportunities found in having to manage through a recession or lead through personal challenges. This has given me empathy and understanding that has equipped me for leading in a new era.
