Managed the daily operations of a 1000 MWe Nuclear Power Plant by coordinating the efforts of the Operations, Project Management, Maintenance, and Work Control Departments to ensure the station schedule is properly executed. Directly responsible to the General Manager of Plant Operations on all issues associated with Nuclear Safety. Responsible for directly interfacing with representatives of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission and the Institute of Nuclear Power Operators. Responsible for authorization and approval of engineering calculations, engineering changes, operability assessments, temporary plant modifications, and deviations from the plant operating license. Serve as the Emergency Director during classified emergency events. • Served as the Operations Test Group Manager for several Refueling Outages. Improved overall testing efficiency and significantly reduced overall outage duration • Served as Emergency Plant Manager, Plant Operations Manager, and Operations Coordinator in support of Emergency Response Organization. Coordinated in plant response to an emergency condition at the station. • Served as the FIN (Fix It Now) group SRO. Reviewed, risk assessed and coordinated several hundred activities across multiple disciplines to ensure emergent issues were resolved in a timely manner in keeping with high standards for nuclear safety. • Maintained a Senior Reactor Operator License and qualification as a Shift Manger and Shift Technical Advisor Completed the requirements to earn a Senior Reactor Operator License from the Nuclear Regulatory Commission. Coursework included classes and examinations in Nuclear Physics, Thermodynamics, Electrical & Control Systems Engineering, Integrated Plant Operations, and Transient Accident Analysis • Served as the Control Room Supervisor for all simulator scenarios leading a team of three to four students during training and examination. • Successfully passed both the written and operating portions of the NRC exam I am a Nuclear Energy Professional with an BSEE from Clarkson University. I have a unique professional background that spans the Military, Manufacturing, and Nuclear Energy industries. I have spent the past 32 years managing diverse groups of employees that have been successful in tackling a variety of industrial projects.
