About

*******RETIRING 31 DECEMBER 2021******* 41 years active duty/civil service working for the Air Force. 20 years military and 20+ years civilian. Earned a degree in aircraft maintenance and FAA airframe and power plant license. My love and my background is airplanes and aircraft maintenance! Haven’t worked a flight line in over 17 years...sigh! Seeing an airplane fly still tickles me. 100 tons=lighter than air!!! In 2004 I left aircraft MX for a MX wing level QA maintenance production quality assurance inspector. Conducting wing-level inspections was akin to school, process and product immersion on a daily basis. Way outside my comfort zone at times, however I learned how diverse our MX operates and the myriad aircraft and components produced. May 06 I was promoted to an acquisition/sustainment QA inspector specializing in deficiency reporting and customer reported defects/complaints. June 09***happy place***EPC/ EM Manager/ UDM/COOP/Control Center Operations. SELF ESTABLISHED CUDOs: Developed, established and operated multiple AF wing level unit control and operations centers. Lead wing COOP working group. CHARTER: updating and standardizing our COOP plan across 3 diverse locations. Implemented our COOP irt COVID 19, our plan/program worked flawlessly when we transitioned to 100% telework. Past 12 years: planned and conducted COOP exercises while training more than 1000 personnel on COOP procedures. BLNUF: The work environment is dynamic and ever changing...long story short I truly enjoy coming to work everyday! It's fantastic...get paid for doing what I love! If the Air Force allows, I’ll retire from my current position. I know what you're thinking, how can each of these jobs lead into the next? Easy...desire, education, training! Completed my Level 2 Continuity of Operations Certificate through FEMA. In addition, I completed my Level 2 maintenance/supply chain management professional certificate program through the Air Force.
