In global medical research since 1990, I have built and led operational groups of up to 900 people and ~300M USD direct budgets in a variety of therapeutic areas including hematology/oncology, infectious diseases, cardiopulmonary, and internal medicine, in both full-service and functional service models. This includes 15+ years with director or executive-level responsibilities and nine years in Project Management or Clinical Operations for both pharmacotherapies and medical devices, with funding from industry, foundations, or government agencies. I have a doctorate in Public Health and a master's degree in Epidemiology. Select career highlights:- As Global Lead for ClinOps FSPs, designed, built, and led a ClinOps FSP solution with >20% growth for five straight years, and counting. - Therapeutic Area Head of ID and also GenMed for an academic CRO where we tripled revenue, doubled client base, and increased utilization by more than 10% for clinical and PM staff; turned 5 years of net losses into profits within 20 months of hire.- As Vice President at a small biotech, oversaw clinical operations including PM, monitoring, data, stats and safety for two antivirals being developed for four orphan indications; renegotiated contracts and MSAs with existing vendors, resulting in approximately $3M savings for the company.Specialties: Government and industry-funded research; Functional Service Partnerships (FSP); Cardiopulmonary, Infectious Diseases, and Hem/Onc; Global Project Management, Clinical Monitoring and Site Management, Data Management including EDC; Study/Program Design and Development; Due diligence for in- and out-licensing.
