I started my nursing career in 1993. I worked med-surg and pediatrics until 1997. In 1997 I found my love in nursing when I began working Labor and Delivery. I worked there until 2019. I loved the relationships I was able to develop with my patients as well as my peers. As a labor and delivery nurse in a small community hospital I triaged patients, performed routine NST's, cared for antepartum patients (as we are also the perinatal area), and managed the laboring patient through to delivery. Since we had no NICU we as labor nurses were part of every neonatal resuscitation. I switched to working full time in a busy OB practice as the OB Triage Nurse for almost 2 years.
