I get excited about the opportunities that evolving technologies offer to businesses - when architected and utilised appropriately. Defining a roadmap, setting a strategy and then architecting and delivering technical solutions and seeing the payback for customers - external or internal - has always given me the greatest pleasure through my career. Over the past 24 years I have had the opportunity to contribute to and drive successful design and solution delivery through various roles including technical and solutions architect, delivery lead and project manager. Throughout my 20 years with Accenture, and continuing during the past 4 years at MMG, I have had extensive exposure to SAP's changing and evolving technologies and architecture, and this, combined with in-depth and hands-on Azure experience has given me a deep understanding of what's required to develop and deliver a solid and robust technical architecture. Most recently, I have: - Helped deliver and manage multiple migrations of SAP (and non-SAP) applications to Azure. - Defined technical roadmaps and strategies for both SAP and Cloud. - Built a cloud architecture and capability from ground up, enabling IaaS, PaaS, Security, Advanced Analytics and Mobility components, and provided governance and reporting for executives & management. I have had the opportunity to work closely with a vast range of stakeholders - including c-suite - and understand the need to tailor communications to different audiences, and the different requirements and points of view that need to be taken into account. My career to-date has taken me to various cities across Australia, as well as Singapore, Brunei and Hungary, and across multiple industries including mining/resources, food & beverage, public service and telecommunications. This has given me exposure to not only the different focuses, priorities and requirements of different industries, but also a deep understanding of working with different cultures and across timezones. In addition, I have worked with both insourced and outsourced models through BAU support and project implementation, and have been on "both sides of the fence" in relation to service providers. It's not just all powerpoints and visio diagrams though. I have a long background in SAP Basis, programming and scripting, and Azure cloud configuration and operations. I always relish the opportunity and challenge of getting involved in the detail and being able to get my hands dirty. While not involved with SAP and cloud technologies, I love playing cricket and ultimate frisbee.
