Tom Leyland

Hi My name is Tom Leyland I am the engineering manager of the SAICA FLEX site in Wigan. Leading the Engineering team in PM's and breakdowns of a variety of machines, I am also resposable for the maintenance of the facilities and grounds. I project manage the majority of CAPEX projects on site, including building works and new equipment purchases. Although I had only been with the company for 6 months I was promoted on the exit of the previous manger, showing that I have a natural ability to manage and sustain equipment productivity. I have practical knowledge and experiences as an Electrical/Mechanical engineer which is backed up by successfully completing a NVQ level 3 in Electrical and mechanical engineering. I have experience working with Printing presses, converting machines, PLC's CAN systems, HGV, PCLG, Tracked armored vehicles and plant. I had a successful military career of 13 years culminating in gaining knowledge and experience in Electrical/Mechanical engineering, management and personnel development. I am a driven and focused individual with the ability to set goals and achieve them.
