My many years of work experience in several hospitality industry sectors, including hotels, resorts and cruise ships, provided me with a profound knowledge of diversity, cultural awareness, relationship building and leadership. I have recently shifted my career to the community sector. I have been coordinating the grants and outreach team for an HIV and rainbow-focused not-for-profit organisation. This role has allowed me to bring together my passion for writing, community, and client-centred service. Late last year, I completed a postgraduate diploma in Business which gave me the theoretical basis of business communications, marketing, project management and design thinking, to name a few. My previous academic experience, during my Bachelor's, gave me a deep understanding of social dynamics and the effects of culture, policy and other systemic factors on different communities.
