Tom Stansbury

Mr. Stansbury is the Founder of Beaches Chamber of Commerce, where he serves as President | CEO. Beaches Chamber is ‘building communities through business and technology’ on Florida’s First Coast. Beaches Chamber is building ‘leadership trust’ while mobilizing communities through technology and events promoting local businesses and organizations, encouraging everyone who lives, works and plays here to shop local; helping to strengthen, grow, and scale small to medium sized enterprises (SME’s), creating an innovative startup ecosystem/culture and high performing team environment for entrepreneurial founders, investors, and mentors, while simultaneously focused on economic and community development. Mr. Stansbury is recognized as a serial entrepreneurial leader since receiving his MBA from Regent University. Involved in more than 20+ startups and early stage ventures since then, Mr. Stansbury has raised capital and been involved in customer development, pivoting with a business model canvas approach, and agile engineering related to technology product development. Previously, he has served as a Partner with Merging Traffic, a virtual private equity firm catalyzing growth, investment, and access to capital serving both impact investors and entrepreneurs. In this role, he served as a strategic advisor to Compedia, an Israeli-based technology company looking to expand and pivot their business model leveraging augmented and virtual reality technology solutions into multiple customer segments. He helped establish Regent's Center for Entrepreneurship (RCE), launching impact entrepreneurship models in Ukraine expanding throughout Eastern Europe, and impact investing initiatives in conjunction with the National Christian Foundation (NCF). He served as the President of FranchiseThis! and took on primary client responsibility for OrderUp.Com assisting in the creation, development and success of OrderUp's rapid growth recognized by Inc. Magazine as the first Digital Franchise and in 2013 Entrepreneur Magazine named OrderUp as one of the '30 Most Innovative Companies Getting it Right in America.' Mr. Stansbury helped 'architect' OrderUp's branding and marketing strategies, unit economics and complete franchise business model while personally involved in closing the first $1M+ in franchise sales expanding their footprint to over 35+ markets nationwide. In May of 2014, OrderUp took on $10M in VC Series A Funding from Revolution Ventures (Steve Case AOL) and Tim O'Shawnessy Co-Founder of LivingSocial. OrderUp was acquired by Groupon in the summer of 2015.
