Ray Bradbury said, “Life is trying things to see if they work,” and I have found that organizational innovation is mission critical in making technology work. Fostering a collaborative environment between IT and other business units, I ensure that solutions are aligned with business goals. With a Masters in Information Technology, specializing in Information Assurance and Security, and extensive experience managing technology infrastructure to ensure reliability, efficiency and ease of use, I design and execute technology initiatives related to virtualizing server infrastructure, firewalls, web filtering, and more. I want to evaluate, configure and deliver solutions that make the organization better and enjoy working very hard to make that happen, many times achieving organizational operational and security goals with limited budget and lean personnel resources. Capabilities encompass: ► Extensive Microsoft and Cisco technologies experience ► Use of Solarwinds and Nessus to monitor and scan the network for performance and vulnerability issues ► Implementing and configuring security controls, including firewalls, antivirus, and proxy servers ► Design & implementation of highly available Wi-Fi network for new STEAM school, which opened in 2013 ► Proactive IT support at 10 separate sites with a total device count of over 5,000 Both individual and team work are important to me. I am known for identifying key issues and presenting understandable alternatives in my working relationships with consultants and internal stakeholders with varying levels of technical expertise in a multi-vendor environment. Coaching other IT technicians, I believe in leading by example, and I am continually looking to sharpen my skills.
