In December of 2006, after years of working with low income families and watching predatory lenders take advantage of my clients who were trying to purchase their first home - I, a divorced, single mom of three, decided to take action and become a licensed Realtor myself. I knew that a home is the biggest purchase most will ever make and wanted to ensure that everyone’s sale was fair and honest. I accomplished this in January of 2007, and now I keep the REAL in Realtor®. I pride myself on being a straight-forward, genuine and extremely honest salesperson. I may not be the richest Realtor® around, but you can bet I’m one of the most honest! Since starting, I also pursued my degree in Interior Design at LCC, as well as Paralegal courses at KCC, Community Economic Development Association of Michigan (CEDAM) graduate as well as MSHDA Certified; all so that I could learn about the many different facets of real estate and homeownership. I love meeting new people, watching my wonderful husband officiate sports, showing houses, love negotiating on my client’s behalf, spending time with my kids and grandsons, but most of all making sure that my clients’ needs have been taken care of and the sale is a peaceful one. Getting into real estate just before the crash, I have seen it all - highs and lows - prices from $3,500 to $350,000. And sold houses all over: From Albion to Augusta; Grand Rapids to Galesburg; Coldwater to Cassopolis.
