Over two decades in regulatory and administrative environmental law with regard to air, water, and waste. Strong background in permitting, compliance and enforcement, due diligence, catastrophic release and emergency response, brownfields, Superfund and municipal solid waste sites. Currently tasked to assess and resolve third party environmental claims and to address contractual rights and obligations relating to legacy US Downstream businesses. With a Masters in Legal and technical experience, I have over 25 years in environmental and regulatory training. I have considerable experience drafting/analyzing access, operations and service agreements, with attention to indemnity and dispute resolution clauses, including an acute awareness in drafting language regarding communications privilege, reputation, and legal issues. I have a focused understanding of underlying issues in negotiations, assuring the Company’s position is secure with environmental risk, liability and contractual obligations. With over 15 years as an experienced mediator, I have the ability to leverage my dispute resolution skills in identifying often unforeseen issues and the resolution of claims expeditiously, while working effectively in adversarial business environments such as uncooperative and potentially litigious property owners and other third party stakeholders.
