I am an Engineering Technologist (Mechanical) with a background in metal fabrication and welding. I bring my ‘hands-on’ manufacturing and fabrication skills to the engineering design office to augment the formal training I have undertaken at university. My focus in all tasks is to:- • gather all information related to the issue/problem at hand • talk to stakeholders for different points of view • make an assessment considering all points of view • put forward solutions and request feedback • implement the solution; and • closely monitor the solution for improvements or otherwise. I have an ability to observe and understand systems and in turn provide innovation, improvements and solutions to problems within the systems. Skills are:- • 3D CAD design using Inventor, Solidworks, Autocad and Unigraphics • FEA Analysis using ANSYS software and Autodesk Nastran In-Cad • Integrating CAD geometry and parameters into ANSYS • Project Management • Consolidating data to ensure they are accessible, understandable and reusable • Liaising with both vendors and clients to ensure projects are completed in timely manner • Manage small to intermediate teams I believe my experience gained in various positions, experience with different CAD systems, study, trade background, and my positive outlook provide a unique and valuable skill set.
