I have worked in the NHS for 29 years, beginning my career in 1989 the London Ambulance Service (LAS), qualifying as an LAS Paramedic in Feb 2005. I have been really fortunate to have held some very interesting and challenging posts. I was privileged to be among the cohorts (guided by Mark Whitbread) to be using 12 lead ECG recognition of heart attacks on scene in the 1990s, Throughout my experiences in the health service I am convinced that NHS staff are the most dedicated workers in the UK, and feel that the wider health community owe it to both patients and staff to commission the very best value and quality.. As such, once these services are commissioned to ensure we all gain from the highest possible levels of patient care.
