In my early formative professional years, I had the notion that careers were linear. I believed that working up the proverbial corporate ladder was the path to success, but that thinking forced me to chase job titles and promotions to measure my success. But, the moment I started valuing my own development over awards, I began to create my own path; my career decisions were not based on expectations, but on what I valued to be excellent growth opportunities in areas of high interest and passion.I've spent the last decade+ in a multitude of industries, and along the way acquired a plethora of skills and tools. As a Scheduler in the energy sector, the role taught me the importance of employee capacity and capabilities; extracting productivity through influence and empathy. Working as an Events Manager at one of the biggest e-commerce retailers helped me realize the transformative nature of data analytics and leveraging that information to drive key decisions and initiatives. As a Program Specialist at the premier healthcare company in the country, I became obsessive with process efficiency and its effectiveness on driving team success. And being a Project Manager, it allowed me to utilize all those learned skills and experiences to help directly impact large growth and success on one of the largest toy franchises in the world while having a ton of fun doing it.And while my career has spanned across many titles and responsibilities, one objective has always remained; never stop growing.
