Since 2003, I have organized and managed exhibits and cultural events in Philadelphia’s historic City Hall, transforming nontraditional spaces into a platform for the arts by providing opportunities, voice and representation for Philly’s diverse cultural community in the city’s most important civic space. As a passionate advocate for our diverse communities, my professional experience includes: • Program and Facilities Management – administrative leadership and vision, staffing, budgeting, facilities usage, coordinating events, and promotion. • Communications – public speaking, writing, public relations – press releases, advisories, PSA’s, website content management • Exhibitions – curatorial and museum experience; preparation, installation, and fabrication; organized selection panels, reviews, talks; over 300 exhibitions in past 20 years. • Government and nonprofit experience – 20 years of experience forging partnerships within City government, and the Philadelphia cultural and nonprofit community. I have over 20 years of experience between City government and the nonprofit sector. I am always seeking to serve the public’s interest, to play a greater role in impacting our communities, and to make a greater difference.
