For me, it's about sustainability and its complicated interface with society. My time in both construction and architectural design has underscored the need for better means of communication between industries in order to secure sustainability as the growing standard for how our buildings are made. I think the existing gap lies more in limits of education and understanding than capability. I try to bridge that gap in every way I can; I design, I build, I write. I have come to believe that the best outcomes arise from a multi-faceted and inter-disciplinary exploration. In order to achieve a more sustainable outcome, the lines between industries need to be blurred to allow for the interconnections we have to achieve.
