Tyrone Huckstepp

Tyrone completed a Bachelor of Nutrition at the University of the Sunshine Coast (UniSC) in 2016 and a Bachelor of Psychology (Hons) in 2018. Tyrone continued postgraduate studies in psychology to gain a greater understanding of the factors that contribute to eating behaviour. Tyrone completed a Master of Psychology (Clinical) at UniSC in 2021, gaining general registration as a psychologist. His honours thesis explored the factors contributing to eating behaviour in the context of a commercial weight loss intervention and his master’s thesis explored the relationship between positive schemas and eating disorders symptomatology. Tyrone’s special interests include disordered eating behaviour, sleep problems, anxiety disorders, and mood disorders. He has continued further training in Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP) and treatment modalities for eating disorders (e.g., CBT-E and SSCM).
