"Success is the ability to go from failure to failure without losing enthusiasm." That is, if you will, my daily principle that has accompanied my career in sales for 25 years now. In the end, what counts is always a satisfied customer. The cooperation with customers, the will to solve a task to their complete satisfaction, the look behind the scenes and the final confirmation of trust is the fuel that drives the sales engine every day. In my role as Director Smart City Europe it is important to support a team of specialists. Together we work out strategies and activities on the basis of modern tools such as Salesforce or Xvoyant. The annual and long-term goals should not be a burden but an motivation. The development of each employee to meet this target is in the focus of attention. The past of my career in the IT industry shows how fast progress can be. Yesterday it was Analogue and today it is Industry 4.0 and IoT. For me it is a matter of course to recognize trends, to inform myself and to educate myself further. It was Francis Bacon who said "knowledge is power". Only those who are passionate about their profession will achieve lasting success.
