Ulysses S. Torres

I have graduated in Medicine from the State Medical School at Sao Jose do Rio Preto, Brazil (FAMERP) with subsequent Radiology training at the same institution. I then undertook a post-graduate fellowship in Body CT & MRI at Hospital Sao Luiz, Brazil, with additional subspecialization training in Abdominal Radiology at the University College London Hospital, UK. I hold a PhD degree in Radiology from the University of Sao Paulo. Currently, I am an abdominal radiologist and researcher at Fleury Group, as well as an abdominal radiologist at Rede D’Or São Luiz, Brazil. I am also a postdoctoral researcher in Diagnostic Radiology at the Federal University of Sao Paulo, with a postdoctoral fellowship awarded by CNPq (Brazilian National Council for Scientific and Technological Development). I am a board-certified radiologist by the Brazilian College of Radiology and a Fellow of the European Society of Gastrointestinal and Abdominal Radiology (ESGAR), from which I hold a Certificate of Excellence in Abdominal Radiology. I am a member of the Advisory Editorial Board of the Journal of Ultrasound in Medicine and the British Journal of Radiology Open, as well as a reviewer for more than 30 international medical journals (Publons' Top Peer Reviewer - Top 1% World - Medicine), including European Radiology, American Journal of Roentgenology, Clinical Imaging, etc. I have authored or co-authored 80+ papers published in international peer-reviewed medical journals to date, with 1000+ citations (H index Google Scholar = 17, Scopus = 12, ISI Thomson Reuters = 12). I also have 120+ presentations of abstracts in international and national medical meetings, with 25 awards (Certificates of Merit, Cum Laude, Magna Cum Laude etc.). Since 2017 I write on a monthly basis a column on Food & Arts for the magazine of the Sao Paulo Society of Radiology.
