Urooj Alam

Working as an engineering project manager and project team leader in my current role, responsible for the timely completion of project deliverables. I have designed and developed novel IoT based smart solutions for the ceiling fan industry in Pakistan. I worked as a Design Engineer on the Higher Education Commission-Technology Development Fund-funded project at NED university and was responsible for managing the design layouts, firmware development, quality assurance, and product deployment of a fan base of 150+ smart fans throughout the region. With the passage of time, I developed my expertise in the areas of AI and Machine Learning and thus worked on related projects. I also got the opportunity to be an instructor in a professional course of AI, organized by NCLab, NCAI. I have supervised several engineering projects including final year projects and conducted successful internship programs for undergraduate students of NED University. This led me to another opportunity to train O/A level and secondary school teachers in some 21st-century skills like coding, web and app development, AI and ML, robotics, and IoT. With extensive indulgence in research and literature, I have written some technical research papers. I am known for my "can-get-things-done" attitude which was possible due to my amazing team. I am very passionate about my work, an efficient yet keen learner, computer-literate, proactive, team leader, dedicated, and a well-determined individual with good written and verbal communication skills.
