I have just completed my 2 year Social Service worker diploma program at Conestoga College. I have excelled in this course and look forward to where these studies will take me. On top of this two-year education, I also have lived experience and everything I do today is to support others the same way I was once supported myself. I am a proud member of the LGBTQ community and have facilitated safe support places for these members. My interests are very diverse as is the world of support work. My heart lies with the populations that are homeless or in conflict with the law, addictions/mental health, and older adults. I am so excited to say I have been hired by Grand River Hospital and will be working in addictions!!! I’m looking to utilize the strengths that I already had, and have gained in the SSW program and expand my knowledge in the areas in which I need growth. There is so much room to grow and that is my hope to continue to do on a daily basis.
