Valerie Bradford

Valerie Bradford is your MP for the riding of Kitchener South-Hespeler. She is a mother of three adult children, raising them as a single mom. Valerie understands the challenges that families face, as they juggle responsibilities at home, finances, and careers. Valerie is passionate about universally affordable and accessible childcare, which will allow parents, particularly women, to fully participate in the workforce. Making ends meet was never easy, but growing up on a dairy farm near Dunnville, Ontario, she learned the value of hard work and responsibility at a young age. Valerie has spent the last 15 years supporting small businesses and bringing jobs and investments to Waterloo Region as an economic development professional for the City of Kitchener. She is the former Chair of the Workforce Planning Board, serving for the past 8 years. With extensive experience and knowledge of the local economy, Valerie is well-equipped to help the region recover from the COVID-19 pandemic. Waterloo Region is a great place to live, work, and raise a family - we need to continue to make it better for all residents. Since moving to the region 17 years ago, Valerie has been actively working and volunteering to build community and ensure Canadians everywhere have access to quality jobs and housing. She has been a member of the Kitchener South-Hespeler Federal Liberal Riding Association Board since 2016, most recently serving as its Policy Chair. Valerie is dedicated to public service and has the right experience to be a strong voice for residents of Kitchener South-Hespeler as our Member of Parliament.
