Valerie De Honnet

As an ambitious person who enjoys learning new things, I’ve acquired some leadership skills such as communication, punctuality, the ability to work well under pressure and creativity. I am very fluent in English and Haitian Creole. I spoke French for a decade, however due to lack of practice I can only read, write and understand most things in French now. I am currently teaching myself how to speak Chinese and Spanish. I am very familiar with the AutoCad software being a former architectural students. I, once, took a college level Computer Science class and designed my own game using codes. I am a visual artist; my favorite mediums are acrylic paint, stretched canvasses, graphite pencils, and a simple sketchbook. In addition, an acrylic painting of my sister in her army uniform that I made won a National Gold Medal from the 2018 Scholastics Art & Writing Awards. I have done a couple of sculptures and ceramics. I try to be involved in the community. I volunteered at the Cradles and Crayons factory in Boston to help with packing up new clothes for kids of different ages who are financially unstable. I used to be a teacher’s helper on Sundays for kids who are furthering their beliefs in God after receiving their first communions. Lastly, as a former hostess at Texas Roadhouse, I’ve also helped distribute free food to nearby hospitals and to local Veteran Centers.
