Valerie Taylor

I am an experienced privacy consultant working with a wide variety of organisations on GDPR projects. My experience has given me a unique insight into the way that privacy practices and governance strategies can be integrated into business life. I am also interested in roles as a non-executive director or Trustee. I am keen to share my knowledge and experience of different management styles and business strategies in ways that can benefit other organisations. Having worked as a lawyer in private practice and industry for some years, I started my own consultancy in 2002. Since then I have been providing advice and training on data privacy legislation to organisations in all sectors to help them establish, expand or implement their compliance programmes. Recent projects includes advising on the privacy aspects of global HR systems deployments, working with providers such as Cornerstone OnDemand and SuccessFactors, and working with a consumer-focused organisation working on smart energy systems. I am also interested in the charity or third sector. I am actively involved at a personal level in various national and international voluntary sector projects.
