Vanessa Heezen

I have studied Management and applied Economics at the Johannes Kepler University in Linz. During this time I specialised my skills in the areas of marketing and market research, microeconomy and empirical economic research, public and non-profit management and entrepreneurship. Beside university I worked in different retail stores and learned how to fit the customers’ needs. I also gained working experience in the office of the public service center in Linz and a private company for lightning protection during summer holidays. After I finished my studies I worked in a furniture store selling home textiles and curtains being paid on commission. Now I am looking for a new challenge where I can use my marketing knowledge to develop individual and creative customer solutions, organize and coordinate fairs and events, do research and analysis in the business environment, implement marketing measures, launch marketing campaigns, deal with InDesign and Photoshop and be responsible for Web-site supporting measures. Therefore I gathered know-how in strategic marketing management, market research, online marketing, marketing planning and control, relationship marketing and employer branding. In addition I received some marketing experience while working in several teams with various companies at university. I was part of two market research projects, one for a start-up company in the health shoe sector and one for a public transport company in Linz. There we characterized target groups, designed a questionnaire, did oral interviews, evaluated the data via SPSS, interpreted the results, wrote a final report. In an extensive human resource marketing project for the voestalpine steel division, we focused on marketing measures to recruit university graduates. Therefore we did a nationwide survey and created a human resource marketing concept for the company with recommendations to prioritise their activities.
