Vani Jain

I am in my final year at University of Toronto pursuing a Bachelors of Science with a Biology Specialist. I possess strong laboratory and interpersonal skills, and aim to pursue genetic counselling. Within my last 4 years at university, I have undertaken various laboratory courses and internships in a hospital and a microbiology lab. As a result of these practicals and experiences, I have gained various experimental skills and techniques, including, but not limited to, gel electrophoresis, PCR, staining, centrifugation, and pipetting which allow me to succeed in a laboratory and medical setting.I have lived in 6 different countries and worked in 3 countries, which has allowed me to develop my communication skills and given me insights into unique perspectives. Through the skills I have gained as a result of my experiences as a laboratory intern at a hospital and a microbiology lab, I hope to contribute to the health care industry and the advancements in the biological field.
