Victor Ching

Before relocating to United Kingdom, I started my education work as a secondary school teaching in Hong Kong and later trained as an Educational Psychologist in Melbourne, Australia. In the last 10 years, I had been working in gifted sector, special schools with students of intellectual disability, primary and secondary settings, with experience as a Freelance Educational Psychologist, Adjunct Lecturer in Universities and Senior Lecturer in ADHD project. Moreover, I had been active in advocating for my profession and was the Chair for the Preliminary Investigation Committee of Hong Kong Association of Educational Psychologist (HKAEP). Since 2021, I have become a fully qualified Educational Psychologist registered with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC). My responsibilities are to support the educational and wellbeing outcomes for children and young people through the core functions of consultation, assessment, intervention and training. This work is undertaken at the level of the individual child / family, the level of the school and the level of the local authority.
