Over this period working in several positions in engineering tasks as a Rotating and Package Units Engineer and currently as a Task Force Mechanical Lead. Experience includes working in proposals, FEED, OBE and EPC phases and detail engineering for hydrocarbon and petrochemical projects. My experience includes development of specifications, data sheets, requisitions for inquiry and purchase activities, technical bid evaluations, vendor selection, reviewing of vendor drawings of API pumps, compressors, steam turbines, blowers, package units, firefighting pumps, support to purchasing and inspection activities, coordination with the different departments (piping, instrumentation, electrical, inspection, civil…) and assistance to vendor kick-off meetings, HAZOP and SIL meetings and centrifugal pumps inspection and testing. As a Rotating Equipment Engineer, my experience includes heavy duty horizontal and vertical pumps in accordance with API and ASME, chemical pumps, high speed pumps, sealless pumps per API 685 and ASME, dosing pumps, firefighting pumps according to NFPA-20, reciprocating and rotary pumps, and compressor experience includes screw compressors per API 619, air compressors per API 672, liquid ring compressors per API 681 and centrifugal compressors per API 617 and fans per API 673. As a Package Units Engineer, my experience includes major process units such as refrigeration packages and vapor recovery units. Currently, I’m working as mechanical team leader for YPF refineries new fuel specifications project.
